R&D center of Chengdu Mytech Biotech Co., Ltd

Sow breeding directly affects the production performance of the whole process and the whole group of pig farms. Improving the performance of sows can effectively reduce the cost of breeding.

We propose two focus points:

Focus on feed basic nutrition and feeding management

During the gestation period of sows, the redistribution of nutrients between the mother and the fetus is regulated by insulin

Focus on functional nutrition of feed

By controlling the process of oxidative stress and systemic inflammation, to ensure the normal performance of the structure and function of reproductive organs, so as to realize the normal implantation, development and delivery of the fetus; and to achieve rapid postpartum recovery of sows and maximize the efficiency of digestion, absorption and transformation of nutrients, provide sufficient milk and ensure normal estrus after weaning.

Benefits:

  1. Breeding enterprises: Improving the health foundation of sows and enhancing the ability of lactation are the key measures to improve the performance of sows and reduce costs!

  2. Feed enterprises: Creating characteristic sow feed products is a key measure to enhance market competitiveness and gain breeding users!

1. Background

Mytech and Sichuan Agricultural University jointly conduct applied research, It is fully proved that Enzymatic hydrolysis functional protein can control the process of oxidative stress and systemic inflammation in sows, improve the body health of sows, and give full play to the reproductive performance.

The application of nearly 100,000 sows in 17 large-scale breeding enterprises has stably demonstrated the following unique effects:

  1. Strengthen the health foundation of sows: reduce the stillbirths and weak litters caused by the long labor process of sows during parturition, and reduce abnormal culling of sows.

  2. Improve the lactation ability of sows: improve the quality of sow milk, reduce the number of dead piglets (less diarrhea, diseased piglets), and improve the uniformity of weaned piglets (fewer poor vitality/ weak piglets with substandard body weight).

2. Recommendation on the dosage and usage
  • Stage of use: The whole process of sows from breeding - gestation - lactation - weaning and re-estrus

  • Usage: 1% Enzymatic hydrolysis functional protein during pregnancy, 2% Enzymatic hydrolysis functional protein during lactation, reduce the amount of protein raw materials

  • Evaluation method: Use in the whole herd, compare the change before and after use product 3-6 months.

3. Efficacy
(1) Enhance the health foundation of sow

Effect 1: Reduce stillbirths and weak piglets (stable performance after 3 months of use in large groups)

(The strong stress of sows during parturition produces a large number of free radicals and their own antioxidant capacity is low, and the production is characterized by long labor process, poor vitality of newborn piglets, and many stillbirths;

Enzymatic hydrolysis functional protein can improve the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacity of sows, shorten the labor process, and reduce the stillbirth due to hypoxia.)

A. Observation of breeding process: sows have shorter labor, better vigor of newborn piglets, and fewer stillbirths (red fetuses)

B. Statistics of large groups: the average number of stillbirths decreased by 0.35/litter

Effect 2: Reduce the number of abnormal culling of sows (stable performance after 3 months of use in large groups)

(Enzymatic hydrolysis functional protein improves the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capacity of sows, and reduces the number of sows culled prematurely due to unhealthy conditions)

A. Observation of breeding process: reduction of abnormal dead sows (such as dystocia, not eating after giving birth, no estrus after weaning)

B. Continuous use in large groups: the number of abnormal culling is reduced (two pig farms with statistics show common effects)

(2)	The efficacy of enhancing the lactation performance of sows

Effect 1: Promote the mammary gland development of sows (stable performance after 2 months of use in large groups)

(Enzymatic hydrolysis functional protein can promote mammary gland development, improve the digestion and absorption conversion rate of nutrients, and improve the quantity and quality of milk.)

A. Observation of the breeding process: the sows are quietly lying flat for feeding; the proportion of sows with better mammary gland development increases

Efficacy 2: Improve the survival rate and reduce weak piglet (stable performance after 2 months of use in large groups)

A. Observation of the breeding process: the uniformity of piglets is good, and the number of dead and weak pigs is less

B. Statistics of large groups: the number of dead piglets is reduced, the cost of medication is reduced, and the survival rate of weaned piglets in the whole group is increased by 5%

C. Statistics of large groups: the number of piglets with qualified weaning weight increased by 5%

4. Benefits

Mytech Enzymatic hydrolysis functional protein addressing key issues limiting sow performance

  • Breeding enterprises: Improve the utilization of sows, reduce the cost of weaned piglets (provide more qualified weaned piglets under the given number of sows), and increase the breeding efficiency.

  • Feed enterprises: Meet the breeding needs and create the unique competitiveness of feed quality (special sow feed).
